Rep. Liz Pike reopens 18th District legislative office in Camas
Rep. Liz Pike announced today her 18th District legislative office in Camas has been reopened and is ready for business.
The office closed in January and was moved to Olympia for the 2015 regular session, which ended April 24. Although the Legislature is now in a special session as budget writers negotiate final operating, capital and transportation budgets, Pike’s legislative assistant, Garrett Delano, has moved back to the 18th District. The new office reopened last week in the Clara Street Block Building, the same building where the previous office was located, but just a few doors down the hallway on the second floor.
“It’s really important for me to have access to the citizens I serve and to make it easy for people to reach out to me with their questions, comments, suggestions and concerns about state government. That’s why I maintain a district office each year in Camas,” said Pike. “We’re in a very convenient location right in the heart of downtown Camas. I encourage citizens to stop by and visit.”
The new office is located at 307 NE Birch Street, Suite 206, in the historic downtown Camas business district. Business hours are Monday through Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. The office will also be open on Fridays by special appointment.
Pike is also planning a district office open house on Friday, June 5 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
“Although most lawmakers have returned home while a handful of budget negotiators are staying in Olympia, I work for the district throughout the year, not just when the Legislature is in session,” added Pike. “It is important to hear from the people I serve. So please come by my office in Camas to say hello and share your thoughts about any legislative matters.”
