Building a bridge: Rep. Liz Pike says ‘freight can’t wait’ (video)
Three years after the Columbia River Crossing project was shut down, conversations are underway about new solutions bridging Oregon and Clark County in Washington.
Rep. Liz Pike, R-Camas, along with Rep. Sharon Wylie, D-Vancouver, tried unsuccessfully to push a measure that would have budgeted $100,000 to create a work group of lawmakers from both sides of the river to discuss how to reduce congestion over the Columbia River.
In this 60-second video from The Columbian, Pike vows to try again next year.
